Is the Samsung SC-D363 a good camcorder?

I'm looking at this camcorder because Target is selling it this weekend for a great price. I've already looked at the Sony DC-36 which is pretty awesome, but expensive too. This will be my first camcorder, but not my first time to use one. I want a camera whose files can be easily transferred to a computer so that I can burn DVD copies of the videos I take. Here's a secondary question too: How do you view Mini-DVs outside of the camera? Are there adaptors like the old mini cassette video cameras?
Just for clarification so I am not insulted again... I was not suggesting that Mini DVs could be viewed on VHS players... I'm not retarded. I was merely wondering if there was something available that either adapted Mini DVs to DVDs or transferred them to DVDs (without the computer step in the middle).

The Sony DCR-HC36 is rated slightly higher. Other camcorders to consider in this price range include the Panasonic PV-GS39 and the Canon Elura 100.

In order to transfer the videos to your computer for editing/DVD burning, you would need to make sure that your computer has a firewire port.

Lastly, you can also view the videos by connecting your camcorder to the TV with the included AV cables...there isn't an adaptor to play miniDV cassettes in VHS VCRs.
