Samsung G600 usb connectivity?

Hi, I got the new G600 a couple of days ago but it wont connect to my PC. Windows Hardware Wizard says "Samsung Mobile USE Modem" and the error is "The data is invalid" I've tried installing the driver on the disk but it's made no difference. It's really annoying me as the pics and tones on the phone are rubbish and I've not got a blue tooth dongle.
Thanks but I'm afraid it won't even show up as a mass storage drive. Windows hardware wizard won't install it.

didnt know how to add to this (on the end), but i have exactly the same problem. I try uninstalling everything again, installing software and drivers, but nothing.
In device manager when the phone IS connected to the pc itis listed as 'other devices' with a yellow question mark. If i right click and go into properties, the device status reads;
-This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
- To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver. If i go to install the drivers this is around about the error message i get:

There was a problem installing the hardware, an error occured during the installation of the device, the data is invalid.

I have already taken the cable back ; 0 and this has happened twice so i guess this is softeware related. As of yet there are no updates but i have not got much time before the 'cooling off' period runs out on the new contract, so if i cant find help the phone is going back.

I dont want to take it back as its a beauty... please help
