My samsung upstage 2 dies very quickly?

So if you have this phone you understand that the battery
doesn't last very long(that is why it comes with the portable charger.)
But if my phone is not on power
save mode, i'll send like fifteen texts or make
a one minute call and my fully charged phone dies.
Is it out of battery? I got a new one this April, almost 9 months ago.
And since you cannot reach the battery on this phone, will I have to get a new one?
Or can someone at the sprint store just replace my battery?

There is no way to replace the battery on that phone. It should have an internal battery life of about an hour or so with a six hour extention with the portable battery. If you are only getting a few minutes out of your battery then it will need to be replaced. If you pay for TEP or ESRP (4 or 7 dollars a month) the replacement should be for free at almost any corporate store. You can find out the closest store to you by going to www.sprint.com and plugging in your zip code in the find a store area. Keep in mind with future phones that a text takes about a minute of battery life. So with that phone you can send/recieve about 75-90 texts before your battery life will be drained if all you are doing is texting. I also recommend when your upgrade comes around to look at the Rant. It is text centric and has almost 6 hours of talk time.
