Motorola's New Android Network Release - Motorola Milestone on Orange

The Motorola Milestone was first made available as a SIM Free and unlocked handset earlier this month with no network ties, now this new Motorola phone featuring the new Android 2.0 operating system has been launched on Orange which has greatly discounted the price of the high specification handset.

Consumers can now get their hands on a free Motorola Milestone by signing up to Orange Dolphin 40 which offers 1200 included minutes of any time, any network calls and unlimited text messaging every month for just £40 line rental.

As the Motorola Milestone is mainly geared for internet browsing and connectivity it would be worth adding the data package that Orange offer for just £5 per month to receive unlimited internet usage and thus keep the monthly payments lower.

The Motorola Milestone is not just the first mobile phone to feature the new Android 2.0 OS but also the first to incorporate a full, slide out Qwerty keyboard for quick text input. Couple this with a 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash and you've got the most technically advanced Android phone currently available until the Google Nexus One is released.

The Milestone takes over where the Motorola Dext left off, this was Motorola's first teaming with the Android software but with a twist as the Dext also has MOTOBlur installed which is focused on connecting social networking site updates and messages on screen in real time.

The Motorola Milestone gains support for social networks via the Android Market with great apps for Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and others, this app market is swelling fast with the most recent total around the 20,000 mark.

The Milestone also offers built-in GPS with MOTONAV spoken turn-by-turn directions as well as Google Maps. The Motorola Milestone Phone Holder (Sold Separately) transforms the phone into a hands-free, personal navigation device with satellite location and cell tower technology for route guidance.

There are further network releases planned for the Milestone including an imminent launch on Vodafone third party tariffs as well as T-Mobile.
