How can i connect my samsung notebook N140 to my samsung LE40B550 LCD tv?

You have to use VGA in one way or another. That's all the netbook will allow. So you basically have 2 solutions.

First, just use a VGA to VGA cable for the video. Both devices support that and its an HD capable connection. But it is video only.

For the audio in that scenario, check the VGA (PC) input on the TV and see if it uses PC audio or RCA Stereo (red/white) for audio associated with the port. Now the other option is to buy a converter box that can convert VGA analog into HDMI digital. These aren't as cheap, but can allow you to use an HDMI port instead.
