How can I get these discontinued phones without the service?

Is there a way in which I can buy the LG CU720 Shine (which has recently been discontinued) from AT&T or any other place without having to use their service? If anything I'd like to use that phone for MetroPCS. I know that I might have to end up paying more money for just the phone, but I'd just like someone to break things down for me and let me know what I'd get myself into. I know I'd need to unlock the phone, but I don't know how it should be done. If it can be done online, I need a reliable source since I'll have to use debit or credit card

My second choice for a phone is the Samsung Katalyst (SGH-t739). It's also discontinued. I'd appreciate it if anyone knew how I can get that as well.

The Shine can only run on GSM network even if it is unlocked. It is impossible for it to work on Metro because Metro runs on CDMA network. You can only use the Shine on AT&T, T-mobile or another GSM network.
