Windows vista wont recognize my mp3?

First off (not being mean,, but....) please dont say vista sux or i should have gotten a mac, bc i chose vista and i like it.. anyway, i have a samsung yp-k3 mp3 player and i have used it on this computer before, it installed it by itself and everything, but for some reason, now, it wont recognize it or show up in my computer or anything. in device manager, it says,

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)

i cant fint a driver either and when i try to let it reinstall itself (you know, when you plus something in and it automatically recognizes it), it says "MTP device failed to install". i dont even know what MTP is...
