how do I get wifi on my Blu Ray?

So, I got this specific blu ray player because it said that it has Youtube, Netflix, Blockbuster, and Pandora on it, yet when I tried to use it after it was set up, I got a message saying it was an "Invalid network. I've got wifi in my house already so I was a bit confused. Then I went to see if I could get some info online, and I read that I need to spend an additional $50 on a bridge that I would also need to connect to my computer.
I'm not sure of the exact model, I just know it's a Samsung (the box got thrown away before I got a chance to read anything about it.
So, is there any other way to get wifi on my "Wifi ready" blu ray?

In addition to a Wi-Fi bridge, you can get a long Ethernet cable, or buy a powerline adaptor pair.
